About
A shop-grade process, taken to the car.
Boss Auto Detailing is a mobile operation based on NE 57th Avenue in Vancouver, Washington, working both sides of the Columbia. Everything below is how the work is actually done.
The premise
The bay is the constraint. So we removed it.
Traditional detailing is limited by a building. You drive to it, you leave the car, you arrange another way home, and you come back when someone calls. For a multi-day correction and coating job, that is a genuine disruption to a week.
A properly equipped mobile rig removes that constraint without giving anything up. Our own filtered water and pressure system, our own power, hot-water extraction, steam, controlled inspection lighting and a full polishing setup all travel with us. Nothing connects to your house. Nothing needs your outlet.
What that buys you is ordinary and valuable: the work happens where the car already is, while you get on with your day.

Standards
Four things we will not do.
A standard is most legible in what it rules out. These are the shortcuts that make a car look excellent for a month and worse afterwards.
We do not use a drive-through brush or a dirty mitt
Most of the fine scratching in clear coat is put there by washing. A foam dwell, filtered water, grit guards and fresh media per panel section exist for one reason: to avoid adding damage while removing dirt.
We do not fill defects and call it correction
Glaze and filler-heavy polish hide swirls for about six weeks. Correction means abrading the clear coat to the level of the defect. If the paint is too thin to take it, we say so and stop.
We do not coat uncorrected paint without telling you
A ceramic coating is optically clear and semi-permanent. Putting one over swirl marks means paying to preserve them for years. If you want a coating, we will quote the correction it needs first.
We do not mask an odor we have not found
Fragrance buys you about a week. We look for the source, whether that is a spill under a seat, a wet cabin filter or moisture in the underlay, extract it, and tell you plainly when something is beyond what detailing can fix.
Order of operations
Every stage depends on the one before it.
- 01
Tell us the vehicle and the space
Call or send the form with the make, model and rough condition, plus where the car will be: driveway, office lot, street, garage. The space decides what is possible on the day, so we ask about it first instead of discovering it on arrival.
- 02
You get a scope and a real window
We come back with what the vehicle actually needs, what it will cost, and how long it will take. If a cheaper service gets you what you want, we say so. If your space rules out coating work, we say that too, before you commit.
- 03
We arrive self-contained
Water, filtration, power, extraction and lighting all come with us. Nothing plugs into your house and nothing connects to your spigot. Setup takes a few minutes and leaves your driveway usable around us.
- 04
Decontamination before anything else
Wheels and wells first, while the paint is cold, then a foam dwell, then a safe contact wash. Iron removal and clay treatment strip out what is bonded into the finish. Every later stage depends on this one being done properly.
- 05
The work you booked
Extraction and steam inside, polishing, sealing or coating outside. On correction jobs you approve a test spot before the rest of the car is touched, so what you are buying is something you have already seen on your own paint.
- 06
Walkaround, then handover
We go over the car with you in good light: what came out, what did not, and why. You get straight aftercare, covering how to wash it, what to keep off it, and when it is worth coming back.
